Are you ready for summer?!!
Our Summer Schedule Begins June 9th!

A Note from Swim School

Summer is a time for BBQs and pool parties! It's a great opportunity for your swimmers to practice their skills and show off what they have learned. It's also a great

opportunity for swim parents to cool off and maybe burn some of those BBQ calories! Swimming can be a great recreational activity, but it's also a great workout.

Don't know the strokes? Ask your swimmer! What a great way to spend quality time with your swimmer while boosting their self-esteem and getting in shape!

10 Beach Dangers Everyone Should Watch Out For

The luster of a beautiful beach -- vivid blue water, cloudless skies, warm sand -- belies the innate perils of the shore. Beaches are subject to the unpredictable, wild nature of our environment. They harbor hazardous plants and animals. They get polluted. They sustain dangerous wave conditions. We don't want to scare you, but we do want you to be safe on your vacation. Here are 10 common dangers of which you should be aware before your next trip to the seashore.

Take the Pool Safety Pledge!

Dear Pool Safely partner:

I'm pleased to announce the launch of the Pool Safely Pledge, an online commitment to water safety that we at CPSC are asking every adult and child in America to take this summer. The Pledge is designed to commit the American public to being safe in and around the water this year. It will serve as a visual reminder of the safety steps they should be using with their families every time they are near the water, as well as an opportunity for them to pass on these messages to their friends and family via social media.

Have a wonderful summer,

Bob Adler

Acting Chairman

Nitro Swim School Station Highlight of the Month

Nitro 1  Station 4A

Back float off the wall for 5 yards. Enter the pool safely from a sitting position on the side of the pool. While holding the wall with both hands, lift and place knees against the wall, next to chest, with toes pointed down, eyes looking up and ears in the water. Then let go of the wall with both hands and slowly stretch out arms and legs while keeping the belly up and face dry, when arms and legs are fully extended into the shape of a starfish swimmer must stay still and remain floating for 10 seconds.

 Tips for Homework!

Practice floating in the bathtub working on pushing the belly up while keeping our chin up and stretching our toes out. You can also practice in the mirror seeing how tall we can get everyday
