Healing Scripture: "And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and heaed their sick..." Matthew 14: 14
Healing Prayer: Dear Lord, I ask you to turn this weakness into strength, suffering into compassion, sorrow into joy, and pain into comfort for others. May your servant trust in your goodness and hope in your faithfulness, even in the middle of this suffering. Let him be filled with patience and joy in your presence as he waits for your healing touch.
In Loving Memory
Our prayers of Christian love and sympathy are extended to all the family and friends of Jackson O Welsh who passed away on July 26, 2016. A memorial service is scheduled at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 17th at the Meeting house.

Attention especially students in Grade 4-8 and Adults!!
I'm very excited to invite you to join in with me to learn a little more about our puppet ministry to children and the greater church. During the year puppeteers will be asked to do special programs for children during Sunday school time and periodically be the children's message. This is a great way to be a part of church, but in a creative way. We will need people to volunteer to be puppeteers and prop people. The commitment is probably as little as one practice and one "show" or being a part of every single one! It is always a lot of fun and a great way to do something for others!
I'm not a professional puppeteer but, if like me you have a desire to have fun and work together to share stories with our church is all that is needed. If you were unable to make the September 11th orientation but, want to be a part of it let me know. I do realize we are all super busy and have sports etc. but it you want to try it out I'm more than willing to work with your schedule!
I hope you will join me to be a part of this fun and theatrical ministry at our church!

Concert Across America- Next Sunday, September 25th The power of music to reach far and wide has fueled countless important movements in recent decades. Now is the time to turn up the music and turn down the hateful rhetoric that has become a hallmark of the gun debate. On September 25th, a ministry group of our church that is working to create a conversation around gun violence will be hosting a Concert Across America on the Topsfield Town Common from 5 - 6:30 p.m.
Concert Across America is a national movement of local communities hosting their own concerts on this date in honor of what Congress designated in 2007 as a day of national remembrance for victims of gun violence. We are actively seeking volunteers to support this event on September 25th.
If you are interested, please contact Dolly McIlvaine or Susan Warner. Susan Warner - smwarner2@verizon.net

Eyeglass Recycling
Do you have old eyeglasses that aren't the right prescription for you now or they have just gone out of style? Maybe your children have outgrown their glasses or have gotten contacts. Clean out your drawers and bring all of your unused eyeglasses to church. The glasses will be sent to a Lions Club recycling center in VA where they will be cleaned, the prescription will be determined, and they will be sorted and packaged to go where eye care is unaffordable and inaccessible.
Thousands of eyeglasses are sent annually to medical and missionary organizations all over the world, such as Feed the Children and World Relief Volunteer Optometric Services. The shipments are often accompanied by ophthalmologists and optometrists who examine and fit the glasses. There will be a Lions Club collection box in the Meeting House Narthex and church office for your prescription and non-prescription eyeglass donations. Thank you for giving clearer vision to others.
