Healing Scripture: "And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and heaed their sick..." Matthew 14: 14
Healing Prayer: Dear Lord, I ask you to turn this weakness into strength, suffering into compassion, sorrow into joy, and pain into comfort for others. May your servant trust in your goodness and hope in your faithfulness, even in the middle of this suffering. Let him be filled with patience and joy in your presence as he waits for your healing touch.
In Loving Memory

Attention especially students in Grade 4-8 and Adults!!
I'm very excited to invite you to join me on Sunday September 11th after the children's message to meet in the chapel to learn a little more about our puppet ministry to children and the greater church. During the year the puppeteers will be asked to do special programs for children during Sunday school time and periodically be the children's message. This is a great way to be a part of church, but in a creative way. We will need people to volunteer to be puppeteers and prop people. The commitment is probably as little as one practice and one "show" or being a part of every single one! It is always a lot of fun and a great way to do something for others!
I'm not a professional puppeteer but, if like me you have a desire to have fun and work together to share stories with our church is all that is needed. If you can't make it Sunday but, want to be a part of it let me know. I do realize we are all super busy and have sports etc. but it you want to try it out I'm more than willing to work with your schedule!
I hope you will join me to be a part of this fun and theatrical ministry at our church!

New Director of Music- Joel Schwindt
Please join us in welcoming Joel Schwindt as our new Director of Music.
Joel has served as the director of music for congregations in Andover, Tucson, and Wichita. He received his Ph.D. in Music History from Brandeis University, a Master's in Choral Conducting from the University of Arizona, and a Bachelor's in Vocal Performance from Wichita State University. Joel lives in Wakefield with his wife, Sara, and his daughter, Hannah. In his free time, you can find him happily ensconced in a comfortable armchair at a Starbucks or Dunkin enjoying a coffee and a pastry, or at a playground or library with his wife and daughter. Music is an integral part of any worship community, and his goal is facilitate, encourage, or lead those who wish to contribute to the musical life of CCoT, whether it is simply by singing along with the hymns, singing in the Sanctuary or Youth choir, ringing with the Hand bell Choir, or even offering a new contribution to our worship! Most of all, we hope to serve as an expression for the love that binds us together as a community: "If I speak with the voices of men and angels, but have not love, I am like a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal" (I Corinthians 13:1). Please join the search committee consisting of Ruth Bortzfield, Jody Clineff, Joe Gibbons, Rob Hardy, and Louise Rownd, in welcoming Joel to our church family.

Concert Across America The power of music to reach far and wide has fueled countless important movements in recent decades. Now is the time to turn up the music and turn down the hateful rhetoric that has become a hallmark of the gun debate. On September 25th, a ministry group of our church that is working to create a conversation around gun violence will be hosting a Concert Across America on the Topsfield Town Common from 5 - 6:30 p.m.
Concerts Across America is a national movement of local communities hosting their own concerts on this date in honor of what Congress designated in 2007 as a day of national remembrance for victims of gun violence. We are actively seeking volunteers to support this event on September 25th.
If you are interested, please contact Dolly McIlvaine or Susan Warner. Susan Warner - smwarner2@verizon.net

Beverly Bootstraps A fun night was had at Beverly Bootstraps sorting clothes, pricing, and hanging items. By using volunteers instead of paid staff more money can be spent on the food pantry, adult education programs, and client services. We would like to commit to one Monday a month from 5:30 pm-7:30 pm. Between 5-8 volunteers would be needed. It would be great to have a large list of volunteers that could then sign up for the 8 slots.
If you would be interested in being put on this list please contact Cathy Imboden at cbimboden@comcast.net.
