New Video: Pegasus® 4D Video Brochure PegVideo

Gain accurate characterization of complex samples in a variety of markets using the Pegasus 4D GCxGC-TOFMS system. The problem of coelution is one of the past as two-dimensional gas chromatography and time-of flight mass spectrometry come together to provide four dimensions of separation for complete sample analysis. These four dimensions effectively help you to answer the question of "what else is in my sample?" through the detection of hundreds-to-thousands more compounds than a conventional one-dimensional GC analysis. The video brochure for the Pegasus 4D system highlights these features and more, watch here.

Application Spotlight: Beer Aromas BeerAroma
Flavor Fragrance This month's app notes focus on beer aroma and how it can be determined using the Pegasus HT GC-TOFMS and its ChromaTOF® brand software.

Non-Targeted Aroma Profiling by GC-TOFMS to Compare Beer Samples
In this app note, the Pegasus HT GC-TOFMS was used to conduct a non-targeted analysis comparing craft beer styles on the basis of aroma. By isolating individual analytes and utilizing full mass range TOFMS data for identification and quantification, the resulting GC-TOFMS chromatograms helped investigate the similarities and differences of the samples in order to characterize these beer varieties. Click here to read the app note.

Detection of Analyte Differences with GC-TOFMS and the Reference Feature in ChromaTOF
LECO Corporation's unique ChromaTOF brand software and True Signal Deconvolution® (TSD®) take the non-targeted analysis of beer aroma a step further. It does this through providing an automated peak finding feature and other sample comparison tools. In this app note the ChromaTOF brand software demonstrated the determination of analyte differences between a stout and coffee-flavored stout with a focus on the sensory experiences of aroma and flavor. Click here to read the app note.

ChemPlusChem Releases the First GCxGC-MS Cluster
Publication Articles Cluster
Uwe

The ChemPlusChem Cluster Publication on GCxGC-MS, recently initiated at LECO's 3rd European GCxGC Symposium, is now available online. The intent of the publication is to highlight the Pegasus 4D GCxGC-TOFMS and its effectiveness in laboratories around the world. The guest editor of the Cluster Publication is Prof. Dr. Uwe Meierhenrich (pictured left), who delivered the opening lecture at the 3rd European GCxGC Symposium. Read more about the first Cluster articles here and learn how you can share your own submissions in future issues.
