Consumables Corner:
New Fastick Polishing Cloth System

By David Coulston, LECO Metallurgist

Looking for a cost-effective alternative to the magnetic disc systems often used for grinding and polishing? Look no further than the Fastick system!

The newly introduced Fastick system has, at its core, the PSA Base disc. This disc has  pressure-sensitive adhesive on its underside, and a glossy, clingy upper surface. The Base disc's PSA backing is exposed, and can be attached to any grinder/polisher wheel. A clear protective film is removed from the upper side, and it is ready for use.

The top surface of the Base disc is designed to cling to a variety of surfaces. Fastick polishing cloths are manufactured with a special, glossy, backing which adheres readily and securely to the Base. The Base can also be used with plain-back Silicon Carbide grinding discs. Its use with plain-back discs eliminates the need for a retaining ring, and the occasional disc slippage and wrinkling.
