Introducing the 736 Series: Oxygen/Nitrogen Analysis by Fusion

LECO recently launched the 736 Series, an analyzer developed for accurate  routine measurement of oxygen and nitrogen content of inorganic materials, ferrous and nonferrous alloys, and refractory metals using the inert gas fusion technique.

The 736 Series utilizes LECO's exclusive Cornerstone® software, which provides the user with complete access to analysis control, method settings, diagnostics, reporting, and more in a highly-organized and immersive environment.

Another advantage of the 736 Series is its detection system. Choose either argon or helium carrier gas without switching thermal conductivity detectors, and without any loss of range or precision.

Now Available: Argon Kits for TC Series IGF Analyzers

Concerned about helium gas shortages -- and the risk of subsequen
t downtime?
LECO has taken a proactive approach by introducing an
argon carrier gas conversion kit for its TC 600/500/400 series of insert gas fusion elemental analyzers. These kits minimize the inherent range and precision loss when switching from helium to argon carrier with the use of a new thermal conductivity cell that is optimized for argon.

A2LA
Inorganic Update

As of April 2013, LECO is accredited through A2LA to ISO Guide 34. This means that LECO can produce new ISO Guide 34 Reference Materials for the inorganic materials under our scope of accreditation. These new ISO Guide 34 reference materials will have an A2LA Reference Material Producer Logo on the front of the certificate.

A new reference material is in the final stages of certification before release. The new reference material, 502-635, is a High Sulfur Ore Tailing viable for both inorganic and organic instruments.

Organic Update

The current short term goal for the organic reference materials is the addition to the A2LA ISO Guide 34 accreditation for Reference Material production. LECO will also be expanding the scope of the laboratory A2LA accreditation for ISO 17025 to include the organic products.

LECO offers a variety of organic reference materials for several applications. Some of these reference material matrices include pure compounds, plant tissues, soils, ores, and coals. The pure compound reference materials have a wide range of carbon values to allow for calibration in many different applications.

For matrix-specific reference materials, a variety of plant tissues, soils, ores, and coals are in stock for calibration needs. The newest material is the 502-634 Ultra High Purity (UHP) Graphite powder reference material that is certified @ 100.0% Carbon. This reference material has been sieved to minus 100 mesh.
