Inorganic Update: Longer-Lasting Combustion Tubes

Many customers have noticed the 772-905 combustion tubes for previous generation carbon/sulfur determinators are lasting longer. How did this change come about?

During the development phases of our latest generation CS844 and CS744 models, one of our goals was to improve combustion tube life. As a result, a direct benefit was also engineered for the 772-905 combustion tubes. The benefit? Longer life, lower cost, less downtime.

Organic Update: New Pure Chemical Standards
There are two recent additions to LECO's pure chemical standard offerings -- pure chemical BBOT (C26H26N2OS) and a minus-100 mesh ultra-high purity graphite powder.

BBOT has a relatively high carbon (72.5% C) and lower sulfur (7.4%) content, great for use in calibrating organic combustion CHN or SC instruments in fuel applications.

The minus-100 mesh ultra-high purity graphite with a certificate value (lot 1000) of 100% (+/-0.3%) is ideal for calibrating organic combustion SC instruments for coal, coke, graphite, carbon black, or other high-carbon applications.
