Approximately 1,000 Students and Educators Attend Student Leadership Series Events in Washington, DC

An estimated 1,065 students and educators attended Student Leadership Series events organized in partnership with the Executive Office of the Mayor, Mayor's Office on Latino Affairs.  Two schools participated in these events held in the nation's capital. USHLI is very grateful for the opportunity to bring the Series back to Washington, DC. 

The Series featured nationally prominent motivational speaker, Jimmy Cabrera, who is a favorite among students of all ages from middle school to college as well as professionals. 
 

The SLS is USHLI's flagship youth program. The program is designed to motivate students to improve their academic performance, graduate and pursue some level of post-secondary education. An estimated 124,484 have been served to date this year in 18 states.
