USHLI Partners with Laredo Independent School District for

Parent Leadership Conference in

Texas

An estimated 400 parents attended the Parent Leadership Conference held in Laredo, Texas. USHLI is very grateful for the opportunity to partner with the Laredo Independent School District in this program, which was attended by parents from throughout the district.

The event featured nationally prominent motivational speaker, Andres Lara, who is a favorite among students of all ages from middle school to college. A parent training workshop was presented by Jaime Carias.

The SLS is USHLI's flagship youth and family education program.The program is designed to motivate students to improve their academic performance, graduate and pursue some level of post-secondary education, and empower parents. An estimated 88,845 have been served to date this year in 16 states.
