Dr. Juan Andrade, USHLI President, returned to the Quad Cities as the featured speaker in the Multicultural Speaker Series organized and sponsored by the Greater Quad Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
The event, held at the iWireless Center, was presented by Black Hawk College and Eastern Iowa Community Colleges. The audience included representatives of the Hispanic and non-Hispanic business community, university and public school administrators, local leaders, and students of all ages. In his remarks Dr. Andrade addressed the social, economic and political implications of Latino population growth, selected keys for success in academic achievement, and the importance of diversity and inclusion.
