USHLI's Student Leadership Series (SLS) continued its fall campaign with a successful partnership with the University of Iowa.  The Iowa Latino Summit for high school students was held at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, and a student assembly was held at West Liberty Middle School in West Liberty.  USHLI is very grateful to Gabriela Rivera and the Center for Diversity and Enrichment at the University of Iowa for the opportunity to partner with them in this series of events. 

Our nationally prominent motivational speaker featured at these events was Roy Juarez, Jr.   

SLS participating schools will see their students become better motivated, more involved in class and extracurricular activities, more determined to succeed academically and in life, and better prepared to enter the workforce.  Over 69,945 students, parents, and teachers in 20 states have been served this year.
