Over 500 students attending Kelly High School turned out to hear the powerful message delivered by Jimmy Cabrera. His message to the students was very clear - stay in school, improve your academic performance, believe in yourself, fill your backpack with the life and academic skills you need to succeed, and graduate.

Participating schools will see their students become better motivated and more determined.  Their dropout rate will decrease and the graduation rate will increase.  Over 13,728 students have been reached to date in 2013.

The Student Leadership Series is USHLI's flagship youth program, and one of six youth programs offered by USHLI. The goal of the SLS is to introduce students to the full range of post-secondary options and  help them chart their individualized course through the academic achievement pipeline and success in life and career. 

Together with our super-talented, innovative, energetic, interactive, uplifting and inspiring speakers, USHLI is able to offer SLS events that will empower students at all levels, parents, as well as educators.
