USHLI Set to Reach 100,000 Students in 2013

February 14 marked the official launch of USHLI's 2013 Student Leadership Series, which is expected to reach over 100,000 middle school and high school students in 30 states.  The official launch, held in Chicago, was attended by 3,500 students, teachers, and counselors from over 60 high schools. Recruiters representing over 80 vocational and technical schools, community schools, trade schools, 4-year institutions, and several branches of the U.S. military attended as well.

Jimmy Cabrera was the featured speaker at the official launch.  Rated among the top motivational speakers in the nation, Jimmy has reached over 1.5 million students throughout his career.

The Student Leadership Series is USHLI's flagship youth program, and one of six youth programs offered by USHLI.  The goal is to reach mostly economically disadvantaged students who will be the first in their family to graduate high school, pursue post-secondary education or training, or obtain a post-secondary degree or certificate.

With our innovative, energetic, interactive, uplifting and empowering methodology, our critically acclaimed SLS presentations focus on Stay-in-School Rallies for middle school and junior high students, Career & College Recruitment Fairs for high school students, Regional Leadership Summits for college students, Parent Leadership Training and Professional Development events.

Next stops for the Student Leadership Series are Salt Lake City (3.6), Springdale, AR (3.12), Reno, NV (3.14-15), and Brownwood, TX (3.22).
