  • 2014 - 2015 Membership & Religious School Information- The office has mailed out the 2014-2015 Membership Commitment Forms and Religious School Registration Packets. The packets were sent to those who have fulfilled this year's financial commitments. If you have not received your packet, please contact the synagogue office.

As I sit up at camp at OSRUI in Wisconsin, watching the campers have the summer of their lives, I cannot help but think about the High Holiday Hustle, which helped to bring so many of our campers here this summer. The High Holiday Hustle is a way to support the Robert Scott Samuels Scholarship Fund which sends kids to OSRUI each summer.   • Sisterhood Mah Jongg is at the synagogue Monday evenings at 7:30 PM and will continue through the summer. NEW- Mah Jongg lessons July 14, 21 & 28 at 9:30 AM. Read more here
  • Chavarah groups forming at Etz Chaim this summer. Read more here.
  • Connections Team:
    • Ravinia Style Concert- Join Etz Chaim friends Saturday, June 28 Catigny Park, Wheaton. The Neverly Brothers: A Rock 'n Roll Evolution. From Elvis to The Beatles! Read more here.
    • Shakespeare Under the Stars- Join us as we congregate for a picnic and a play Saturday, July 26 for "Shakespeare Under the Stars". Read more here.
  • Spotlight on Our Library- With the lazy days of summer, it nice to take the time to sit down and read a book. Read more here.
SCHOOL AND YOUTH ACTIVITIES
  • Shabbat Chaverim will resume again in September. This program is for young children and a parent/guardian. Each session we do a craft, have play time, music with Cindy Michelassi and, of course a snack. We recite the Shabbat blessings and then have challah and juice. Read more here.
CONGREGATIONAL LIFE
  • Tree Replacement at the Synagogue- Consider donating a tree in memory of someone, in honor of a special occasion or as a mitzvah. Read more here.

  • Manna- The summer Manna dates are: July 13 and August 10. Find out more about  Manna or click here for an order form.
  • Skilled Volunteers for Israel- Join a group of active adult professionals and retirees to volunteer in Jerusalem, December 3-23, 2014. Read more here
  • Recycling- The Environment Team, Shomrei Adamah (Guardians of the Earth) was busy at the BBQ educating members about the increased recycling at the synagogue. Read more here.
  • Tzedakah- Donations received in the Tzedakah box in the synagogue lobby will go to Ukrainian Jews. Read more here.
  • Hillel at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign welcomes the CLASS OF 2018! Incoming freshmen and parents of incoming freshmen, Hillel isvery excited for your arrival on campus. Read more here.
