  • OSRUI Scholarships- Campers who wish to receive a scholarship to OSRUI from the Robert Scott Samuels Fund need to write a letter to the Youth Committee. Scholarships are awarded for:
    Chalutzim- $400.00
    Regular Sessions- $300.00
    Atid- $100.00

    The deadline is Sunday, April 1, 2014
    Additional scholarships based on need are available from the Jeremy Bruder Scholarship Fund. Please speak to one of the Rabbis or Anne to apply for a confidential, need based scholarship.

  • Purim- Etz Chaim is the Purim Capital of North America! On Sunday, March 16 the service will begin at 10:00 AM followed by the carnival and lunch led by our Youth Groups. Don't forget to come in costume and bring your mac 'n cheese groggers. Read more

  • Spiritwear-The Junior Youth Group is selling Etz Chaim spirit to benefit the Jeremy Bruder Memorial Scholarship Fund. Order form here.
  • Shabbat Chaverim-Our next Shabbat Chaverim will be Friday morning, March 14 at 10:00 AM. This program is for young children and a parent/guardian. Each session we do a craft, have play time, music with Cindy Michelassi and, of course a snack. We recite the Shabbat blessings and then have challah and juice.
CONGREGATIONAL LIFE
  • Congregational Seder- This year's Congregational seder will be held on Tuesday evening April 15 at 6:00 PM. Everyone is invited to attend our communal celebration of this special holiday. Read more here. Registration form here.
  • Congregational Retreat- Planning has already begun for the annual Congregational Retreat at OSRUI. The 2014 Retreat will be held the weekend of May 2-4 in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Read more here.

  • JUF Brunch- Thanks to all who attended the Social Action sponsored JUF Brunch, which was held on February 9, 2014. The delightful guest speaker, Erin Goldman, discussed the history of Jewish experience in film. 56 people attended the event. $34,493 was donated to the 2014 JUF Annual Campaign.
  • Faces of Christianity Part 2 Recap- On January 13, 2014 Dr. Michael Graves gave a presentation on Evangelical Christianity. Read more here.
