High Holiday Hustle
  • The High Holiday Hustle 5K scheduled to take place on September 8,2013 registration site is active! You can sign up here. We are so excited about our upcoming event - please tell all of your co-workers, family and friends about it.

  • High Holiday Information- Rosh Hashanah begins on Wednesday evening, September 4. Don't forget to send in your forms should you need a special needs parking space, need to make a babysitting reservation, need to add names to the Yizkor Bookneed to order a High Holiday Prayer Book  (if you don't have one). Also we need your provide food for our Rosh Hashanah oneg, the Yom Kippur Break the Fast and our Sukkot oneg (when we serve harvest breads). All forms must be in by August 21.                                                                                    As a reminder you need to have submitted your Membership Commitment form and be a member in good standing in order to receive your High Holiday tickets.                                                  Tickets will be mailed out the week of August 19.
  • Religious School Registration Packets for 2013-2014 have been sent out. The packets were sent to those who have fulfilled this year's financial commitments. Remember Wednesday classes are filled on a first come first serve basis If you think you should have received a packet and did not, please call the synagogue office. Please note fees increased August 1 and will increase again on September 1.

Well, we are down to the wire! We have only 31 days left until our first annual 5k High Holiday Hustle race/walk/stroll. The High Holiday Hustle is a way to support the Robert Scott Samuels Fund which sends kids to OSRUI each summer. Read more here.

  • Selichot- On Saturday, August 31 we will recite the prayers of repentance. The Selichot service is the only Jewish worship experience which takes place in the middle of the night. Read more here.
  • Lulav & Etrog- Sukkot will begin on Wednesday night, September 18. It is time to think about ordering your own Lulav and Etrog for the holiday. The cost is $55. Please contact the office to place your order. The deadline for ordering is September 4.
  • High Holiday Food Drive- On Rosh Hashanah morning the High School students will hand out grocery bags and ask that you fill them up with non-perishable items and bring them back Yom Kippur morning. The food drive will be benefiting Christ the King Food Pantry.
