- We'll view & discuss on Sunday, January 20th at 10:00 AM the movie Mahj; The Tiles that Bind, "a light-hearted yet deeply moving portrait of the Asian- and Jewish-American women who play this centuries-old Chinese game. Read more here.
- Spiritual Practice of Yoga Part 2- Please join the Sisterhood in the lower level on Tuesday, January 29th from 7:00 - 8:30 PM for a one and a half hour rejuvenating yoga session. Read more here.

- Lifelong Learning Programs:
- Adult B'nai Mitzvah Class- This 6 month class, taught by Rabbi Cosnowsky, culminates in having an Adult B'nai Mitzvah on July 20, 2013. Read more here.
- Faces of Judaism Illuminated- On Monday, February 11th Rabbi Carl Wolkin of Temple Beth Shalom in Northbrook, will present Conservative Judaism, Part III of the four part series. Read more here.
- Social Action Programs:
- Sisterhood/Brotherhood Shabbat Dinner- Please join us for the Sisterhood/Brotherhood Sponsored Shabbat dinner and service on Friday, February 1, 2013. Dinner begins at 6:30 PM, followed by 8:15 PM Shabbat service led by members of the Sisterhood and Brotherhood. Click here for registration form.

Message from Our Educator
Our Israel connection with Meged school reached new heights last week when one of our fifth graders spent a few hours visiting the school in Ranana. She received a royal welcome and has shared her thoughts with us. Our Mishpacha L'mishpacha program has had such a positive impact on people on both sides of the Atlantic. Read more here.

- 2013 Confirmation Class Project- The 2013 Confirmation Class is doing a mitzah project for Beads for Haiti. Read more here.
- Shabbat Chaverim- Our next Shabbat Chaverim will be THIS Friday morning, January 11th at 10:00 AM. This program is for young children and a parent/guardian. Read more here.
- Snow Day School Closing Information- If we need to close for some unforeseen reason, not due to bad weather, we will contact you via phone. If we need to cancel school because of bad weather we will do three things.
- Send an email blast by 7:30 AM on a Sunday and by 2:00 PM on a Wednesday.
- Post it on the home page of our Etz Chaim webpage.
- Post it on the Etz Chaim facebook page.

- Puttin' on the Ritz 2013 - Saturday, February 2nd at 7:30 PM-
On Saturday, February 2nd, Congregation Etz Chaim of DuPage County will hold its second Puttin' On The Ritz Gala, a fun evening of gaming, music, dancing and prizes. This fabulous fundraiser is presented by: Ways & Means Committee & The Brotherhood.
