  • Hanukkah- Hanukkah begins THIS Saturday evening, December 8th. During this holiday we light the menorah, sing songs, play dreidel and, of course, eat lots of latkes. Hanukkah is a holiday not only for children to enjoy, but to be celebrated with family and friends. Read more here.

Adult & Family Activities
  • Hanukkah Family Night- Please join us THIS Sunday, December 9, 2012 to celebrate the Festival of Lights. This fun-filled Hanukkah party will take place at Etz Chaim from 4:00 PM - 6:30 PM. Read more here.
  • Sisterhood Programs:
  • Yoga Class- Please join the Sisterhood in the lower level on Sunday, December 16th for a one and a half hour rejuvenating yoga session. Read more here.
  • Movie- We'll view & discuss on Sunday, January 13th at 10:00 AM Mahj; The Tiles that Bind, "a light-hearted yet deeply moving portrait of the Asian- and Jewish-American women who play this centuries-old Chinese game." There will be a chance to get an introductory lesson in playing & sign up for more! For those who already play, bring a set and you'll get a chance to play as well!
  • Social Action Programs:
    • The Connections Team initiates support group for caregivers. The support group meetings will be held once a month. Read more here.
    • Stay Connected or Get Re-Connected- The Connections Team's mission is to bring congregants together who share common interests. Read more here

  • Shabbat Chaverim- Our next Shabbat Chaverim will be THIS Friday morning, December 7th at 10:00 AM. This program is for young children and a parent/guardian. Read more here.
  • Snow Day School Closing Information- If we need to close for some unforeseen reason, not due to bad weather, we will contact you via phone. If we need to cancel school because of bad weather we will do three things.
    • Send an email blast by 7:30 AM on a Sunday and by 2:00 PM on a Wednesday.
    • Post it on the home page of our Etz Chaim webpage.
    • Post it on the Etz Chaim facebook page.
  • Preschool Survey- The preschool committee is planning for the future and is looking for input from our congregants. If you have young children/grandchildren, please take a moment to complete our survey here. We appreciate your input.
