Please join us to celebrate the past year of Oakland on the rise and to welcome another year of moving forward.

This holiday party tradition started in my home with friends and parent activists over 20 years ago. As the size of our party has grown, we've moved it to Chabot Space & Science Center.

It remains a huge pot luck with me spending much of the day cooking and friends and local restaurants adding to the diverse mix of offerings that is reflective of Oakland. Enjoy meeting and conversing with City leaders and be treated to live music by the award winning Skyline Jazz Band under the direction of Mr. Vincent Tolliver. Arrangements have been made with Chabot Space & Science Center to offer my guests $5 admission tickets to their planetarium shows which you may purchase from them at the door by presenting your guest name tag. Telescope viewing is always free.
