Dine 2 Donate Coordinator Needed
Elizabeth Real, who founded Dine 2 Donate in the 2013-14 school year and continued to spearhead this fun, easy fundraiser this year, has moved to SoCal.  So the PFC is now seeking someone to organize these events.  The job description follows.  Please email Lisa Guarnaccia if you might be interested.  Thank you!

Role: The D2D Coordinator directs the effort to partner with local eating establishments to raise money for Bancroft.

Time Commitment: 4+ hours per month (almost all from home on your own schedule)

Busiest time of year: work flow is consistent throughout the school year as a D2D event usually occurs every 4 to 6 weeks, but is flexible and varies depending on scheduling

Responsibilities include: research & choose participating restaurants; negotiate rates and times; coordinate event timing with the PFC President to make sure it is not in conflict with other Bancroft events; submit Bancroft's I-9 & contracts to the restaurant; obtain approval of event and flyer by Mrs. Schuler; promote restaurants to the Bancroft community and neighbors; publicize the fundraising events online, through Constant Contact, on Bancroft Marquee, and via email to Room Parents & Teachers; write short monthly newsletter section announcing the results, informing parents of next event, asking parents for new dining ideas, locations, etc.; attend events when possible; and, follow up with restaurant to ensure check is sent or, when necessary, pick up the check. 

Northgate District Presentation
Tuesday, January 13, 6:30-7pm
There is a proposal to form a new "Northgate Unified School District" including the Northgate High area and also the rest of MDUSD Walnut Creek.

The next PFC meeting will be on Tuesday, January 13 at 7pm in the Library. All parents are welcomed and encouraged to attend.  Our voices make a difference.

Intradistrict Transfer Window Closing
Thursday, January 15
The last opportunity to apply for new Intradistrict transfers closes January 15, 2015. If you plan to request a different school site for elementary or middle school, you must do so in the next week. The paperwork can be found on the district website, or you may come into our school office to pick up/drop off the correct form. 

ML King Jr Day - No School
Monday, January 19

In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr., there will be no school on Monday, January 19th. 

Daycare at Diane Adair will also be closed.
Kindergarten Packet Pick-up
Starting Tuesday, January 20 
Beginning Tuesday, January 20, parents may pick up registration packets for Transitional Kindergarten (for children turning 5 between September 2 - December 2, 2015) or Kindergarten (for children turning 5 before December 1). 

Please complete these packets and return them to school on Registration Day on Tuesday, February 3rd.

An informational evening is planned for parents of incoming Kindergarten students at Bancroft on Tuesday, January 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the B Pod Center to learn more about our traditional Kindergarten program as well as the Two Way Dual Immersions (TWDI) Spanish-English program for Kindergarten.
