Special Meeting with Mrs. Schuler 
re: Status of our IA's and Class Size Reduction
Tuesday, December 2, 6-7pm
At the last PFC meeting, parents had questions about our Instructional Assistants and about class size reduction that remained unanswered because Mrs. Schuler was out sick that day. 

Mrs. Schuler has offered to host an informal, open meeting to discuss these issues and answer our questions.  Please come to the Library on Tuesday from 6-7pm.  If you have questions or comments but can not make it, please send them to Lisa Guarnaccia and she will do her best to see that they are heard.
Shop the ONLINE Book Fair

Our Fall Book Fair will take place from Tuesday Dec 9 - Friday Dec 12 in MUR.  If you can't make the event in person, or if you would like to shop online as well, please visit our Online Book Fair here.
(Please note that books ordered online will be delivered to school after Winter Break.)

Community Food Drive
December 1-5
Bancroft Student Council is leading a community Food Drive December 1-5. Items requested are small package items that do not require cooking or microwaving that will be provided to homeless families (living out of their vehicles).

Examples of needed donations:
Protein bars, snack bars, beef jerky, nuts, cracker packs, fruit cups, and other items that do not require cooking or microwaving.

Donations may be brought to the school starting December 1.
Life Skills Assembly
Friday, December 5
The 1st-5th grade assembly honoring students selected by their teachers for the life skills of Problem Solving and Curiosity will be Friday, December 5th at 1:55 pm in the Multi-Use Room. Parents of the students receiving recognition are provided with an invitation to attend the ceremony.

 

Look for our Life Skills of the month listed in the Principal's Message or visit the school's website for more information. 

 

NEXT WEEK:
Early Dismissal
Monday, December 8 - Friday, December 19
There will be early dismissal for the two weeks beginning Monday, December 8th for Parent-Teacher Conferences. 

For grade 1-5, school dismissal on M, T, TH, and F will be 1:15. Wednesday dismissal will remain the same at 12:07.

For Kindergarten, dismissal M-F for Early Friends will be 11:00 and for Late Friends will be 1:43.

PFC Holiday Cheer
Friday, December 12th, 6-7pm
Thank you to all of you who voted for your favorite Holiday Cheer party! The votes have been counted!!

The PFC will be hosting a free family event at school (much like our Ice Cream Social), where families, faculty, and staff are invited to come have cookies and hot chocolate and enjoy some Winter Holiday cheer.

Sports Basement Shopping Weekend

Holiday Shopping Weekend at Sports Basement Benefiting PEAK Education Foundation




PEAK Education Foundation invites you to come jump start your holiday shopping at our Holiday Shopping Weekend at Sports Basement on December 13th & 14th.  Receive a 10% discount on all your Sports Basement purchases when you mention PEAK at the register, and Sports Basement will also donate 10% of sales back to PEAK.

Shoeboxes for Mrs. Gay!

Mrs. Gay is looking for cardboard shoe boxes to be donated to the library. They are using them to put behind the books so the books don't fall behind the shelves or get pushed so far back that they can't be seen. Thank you!
