Kinder Parade
Friday, October 31, 10:05-10:30am
|
|
All Kindergarten families are invited to come watch the Kinder Halloween Parade on Friday, October 31. The Kindergarteners are the only students who come in costume on Halloween, and the rest of the student body gathers in the courtyard to watch the parade. It is a truly memorable event for the Kindergarteners! The Parade will take place in the Courtyard at 10:05am, and will be followed by a Singing Show for the Kindergarten families in MUR from 10:15-10:30am. ALL Kindergarten students will be EARLY birds this day: 7:45 - 11:15am. Students will be dismissed at 11:15am to either their parents or to daycare.

Donations for 5th Grade Outdoor Ed - DUE
Monday, Nov 3
|
|
Exploring New Horizons, a primarily parent-funded field trip, is the Outdoor School program for 5th graders. Without parents' financial support, the students would not be able to attend this incredible trip.
The 5th Grade Outdoor Ed team is asking 5th grade parents to bring in their voluntary contribution for outdoor education to the school office as soon as possible and no later than Monday, November 3. The suggested amount per child is $352; this is also how much the school pays per child for this trip.
In the past, parent contributions have covered 90-95% of the expense. These contributions are then supplemented with what the class raised when they ran Fall Fest the prior year, as well as any other smaller fundraising efforts (such as the Change for Chance and Costume Sales fundraisers we have seen around campus).
This is an unforgettable experience for the students and one that will build independence and confidence as they get ready for middle school. If you can, please contribute so that all of our 5th graders can go to outdoor education this year.
To read more about this Outdoor School program, please refer to the 5th Grade Curriculum Spotlight in October's Bobcat Tracks.
