Short Game Clinic!

Join us for a Short Game Clinic at Pine Oaks Golf Course and Performance Center in Easton

June 13th at 10:00 am

It seems every golfer's worst fear is getting out of the sand. Pine Oaks is offering a short game program to eliminate those fears. This 2-hour program will focus on all aspects of your short game: putting, chipping and those dreaded bunkers.

At the end of the clinic each participant will receive handouts on everything that was covered and can then go out and practice what you've learned.

This program includes green fees for 9 holes after the clinic. Cart will be extra for those who choose not to walk.

You may come across non-EWGA opportunities you would like to share with the members. If you wish to share the non-EWGA opportunities with other members, contact members first to find out if they are interested in receiving information about the opportunity you have to offer.

Members of the EWGA Boston Chapter are expected to respect the privacy of fellow members and thus not use EWGA contact and emails addresses for unsolicited non-EWGA communications.

NEW GOLFER'S FAQ - PART 2 OF 2
You are a "new" golfer -- looking for a guide to playing the game? Or have you been playing golf forever but still feel like a "new" golfer at times? The Den Caddie has some tips to help!

Question: I feel rushed all the time. How can I play faster?
Answer: Learning to move quickly between your shots will help you play a hole in less time.
The key to playing quickly is to prepare for your next shot while your playing partners are playing. When it is your turn, you have done all your prep work, just hit the ball, without feeling rushed.

Question: Golf seems to have a lot of rules, how do I play by them?

Answer: There are two types of rules in golf, those for keeping score and etiquette rules.

As a new golfer learning the rules of golf can be overwhelming... if you are not keeping score for a handicap or tournament... they are not as important as learning the rules of Etiquette. Etiquette rules are not in the rule book. They apply to all golfers on the course, and they are the first ones you should think about learning. Most of them are just common courtesies.
