Hello Ladies,

Let's welcome July and the promise of some great weather. Last month we started the buzz regarding our next partnership with First Tee of Boston. I hope everyone read the EWGA Connection. National is now also working with First Tee in several regions. Since our connection started last year, I believe that we need to set the bar. We started with an equipment drive at Kickoff and also used our 50/50 drawing to support First Tee. The Board has agreed to step up the commitment by having a drawing for a free EWGA membership. Starting in early July and running through September, members will have the option to purchase drawing tickets in increments of $5.00 with 100% of the proceeds going to First Tee. For each donation of $5.00 the member's name will be added to the hat. Please follow this link and show your support. If you have any questions, please contact Gina at nongolfactivities@ewgaboston.org.

GOLF EVENTS

Congratulations! Boston A team retains New England Cup! The awards tent was humming as the scores were posted. Boston A team with a final score of 69 was in a tie breaker with Fairfield. As in the Ryder Cup format, the Boston team did not lose the Cup so it returns to its rightful home here in Boston! The Boston B team did well and finished third.

Last year we struggled to find enough players to fill the 16 available slots for the 2 teams. This year all of the spots were filled at Kickoff. Because of the growing popularity of this event, next year the teams will be selected by a random drawing of all those who sign up. More information will come in Spring 2015.

 ALWAYS BE RECRUITING

It's never too late to introduce a potential NEW MEMBER to Deirdre Parlon! We're always looking to have our "bench full" or "first tee," that is. Thank you for participating in the Member-Guest Week. If you have a Membership Recruiting Idea, please let us know.

WE HAVE A PHOTO CHALLENGE...
COME JOIN THE FUN!

Do you have some Kodak moments after your league play? Preserve those fun times and laughs by pulling out your smartphones and taking some pictures. Send them to our webmaster for publication on our web site or Facebook. It will be fun to see yourself on the web site and we all want to share your fun times! The most fun picture (in keeping with the theme of the 19th hole) will be added to our Boston's 19th Hole form on the web site.
