NECHAMA Responding to Hurricane Sandy
NECHAMA staff will arrive in the NY & NJ area later today. We will begin assessing cleanup needs and meeting with local p artner organizations once first responders and utility crews have s ecured the affected communities.
We will work as rapidly as possible to determine where NECHAMA can be of service and then establish a base of operations. At that point we will provide details on how to volunteer with us on the ground. NECHAMA has deployed a disaster response trailer from our headquarters in Twin Cities, MN to support this effort.
