Here's your latest edition of Indy Leaders' Lounge for Monday, May 5:

SmartManager Tip: You use LinkedIn. Now, learn how you can Network Like a Pro...http://lnkd.in/d_hZkE4

Sales Huddle:  How important is asking the right open ended questions in a sales or management meeting? Kristina Bouckaert, Kelly Engineering representative, says, "Asking a series of open ended questions is critical to an effective sales process. Open ended questions build rapport,  help determine if your prospect is a good fit for your product or service, and they allow you to identify a prospect's pain points -which will help you position your product or service more successfully. Asking the right open ended questions builds trust and credibility with others."

Word: This aspiring author had his novel rejected 30 times, and tossed it in the trash. His wife, Tabitha, took it out of the trash and encouraged him to complete it. It became a hit. So whether you are Stephen King writing "Carrie", or starting a business, or whatever your goal, have a supporter by your side.

Free For All: The news is out! Over 65% of Kelly's clients gave Kelly a 9 or 10 out of 10 in Inavero's 2014 Customer Satisfaction Surveys.

LinkedIn Tip: Instant Message and real-time communication your LI contacts? Sort of. Now you can integrate a little known chat program called WeChat with your LinkedIn account. What's WeChat? WeChat is like What's App and other IM apps that tether to your phone number. First, download WeChat at iStore or Play Store. In LinkedIN, from your Account & Settings menu, go to your Privacy & Settings tab. Select Manage Your WeChat settings from your Settings menu. Go to your WeChat app and scan the QR Code on the LinkedIn page. Now, you are connected, so when someone want to chat with you, they will scan your QR code in their WeChat program. Need help? Email me.

Bonus Tip! The nerve of some people! Here is an actual story from a shipping executive of a large florist-"My sister passed away and her funeral was scheduled for Monday. When I told my boss, he said she died so that I would have to miss work on the busiest day of the year. He then asked if we could change her burial to Friday since that would be better for him."
