Are you already looking forward to Summer? We have yet another magical reason to look forward to July: Scholastic just announced that they will publish the script for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the eighth in the series.  Now you don't have to go to London to see the East End play to find out what happens to Harry and his son, Albus. Such exciting news!!!

Why did the bookstore host a kids' comedy event? Because it's School Vacation Week!  Leo Landry will read his unbearably funny book, Grin and Bear It, and then ask kids to come up and tell their own (original or favorite) jokes! This event is recommended for kids ages 6 and up, and requires registration. You can sign up HERE.

A. C. Burch
Cape Cod author A. C. Burch will be here to discuss and sign his new book, The Homeport Journals, and answer questions.  A longtime Provincetown resident, Mr. Burch brings his love of sailing and the Cape into his new book, which weaves fiction together with real locations. You can register HERE for this free event.

Enjoy an unlikely afternoon with bestselling author and syndicated cartoonist Stephan Pastis. Mr. Pastis will share his fourth book in the popular Timmy Failure series, Timmy Failure: Sanitized For Your Protection, for ages 8 -12. After his presentation, he will take questions from the audience, followed by a book signing, giving fans a chance to visit with him. You can register for this free event HERE.

In the CafCafe
We have a new bakery item in the cafe this week from Twist Bakery, and Kisten was more than happy to describe it. It's called a Flour Fruit Crisp, and has tangy berries on the bottom covered in a delicious oatmeal-brown sugar topping. Make it even more decadent with whipped cream on top!

Everything She Forgot
Everything She Forgot
by Lisa Ballantyne

Margaret is trapped in her car after an accident when she is saved by a mysterious stranger. Over the next few weeks, she begins to remember upsetting events from her childhood. I could not put this book down!

My Name is Lucy Barton
My Name is Lucy Barton
by Elizabeth Strout

I want to put this book in everyone's hands - I love it that much!  Elizabeth Strout has an amazing gift, writing a quiet, gentle novel that packs a wallop. After an extended period in the hospital, Lucy awakens and is surprised to find her mother sitting at her bedside. Quiet conversations between them alternate with Lucy's memories of her childhood slowly revealing the wounds in their family. A thoughtful and powerful look at mothers and daughters, family, class differences, and how we are changed when circumstances take us out of our day-to-day lives. I found myself putting it down just to soak in her words.

Six of Crows
Six of Crows
by Leigh Bardugo

In the dystopian city of Ketterdam, six unlikely characters get pulled into a heist. As alliances get tested and the job goes south, this misfit crew must work together to succeed in this high-stakes fantasy adventure. (No mourners, no funerals.)
