Undoubtedly a knowledgeable management team mitigates risk and builds a safer jobsite.

After all the old adage "You don't know what you don't know," is true for many managers and supervisors when it comes to crane operations.

Bo's high-level thoughts about some of the items management should know were shared in the March 2016 edition of Construction Business Owner. Check out this article and let us know what you think!

P.S. Our Mobile Crane Safety for Managers is available as one of our scheduled programs or can be customized for an on-site program at your facility.

Featured Training
Federal OSHA construction standard requires all persons providing crane signals or attaching loads to hooks to meet qualification requirements. Crane Tech's programs provide training and testing required to become compliant with the regulation.
Designed for operators, trainers safety personnel and supervisors for all types of mobile cranes. Students attending this program will learn all of the critical elements needed to safely operate a crane.
Our Qualified Rigger Level 2 program provides the training necessary for an employer to designate a person as qualified to work as a Level 2 rigger. Level 2 riggers are trained to perform rigging calculations, determine the correct slings and rigging gear for safe load handling and to direct a Level 1 rigger.

Crane Tech Tip of the Week

When using a vacuum lifter to handle loads center the lifter on the load as shown, to avoid unexpected rotation or tilt.

Also make sure that the contact surfaces of the load and all vacuum pads are clean to ensure maximum lifting capacity.
What Our Students Say...

"This NCCCO prep course definitely reminded me of some areas of rigging that I had otherwise forgotten about. Thanks Crane Tech for challenging me to be a better rigger and help get me ready for my Certified Rigger I & II exams."
