Destroying Rigging Gear
You have a rigging inspector training session so that your team has the knowledge, principles, basics, to inspect your rigging gear. During the hands-on session low and behold some slings and shackles get tagged as damaged and set aside. All the employees go back to work with a heightened awareness of how to protect, handle and inspect rigging gear.

But what happens to the gear that is
"tagged and should be removed" from service? Is it put into someone's truck so they can use it for little stuff at home? Is it just thrown in the dumpster in hopes that it never sees the light of day again? Is it left in a bin for someone else to handle?

This week's Hooked on Crane Tech Blog takes a closer look at some good policies for not only removing rigging gear but making sure it gets destroyed as well.

Crane Tech Tip of the Week

Before driving a forklift into a trailer, make sure to inspect and verify that the trailer can support the weight of a warehouse forklift.

Remember warehouse forklifts can weigh anywhere from 3,000 to 8,000 pounds or more.
What Our Clients Say...
"We have always been impressed with the quality of instructors at Crane Tech so I want to share something with you. I had several guys in class come to me about your instructor, as they were very impressed with his knowledge and used the term "this guy really knows his stuff". Coming from people that have been through three days of intense rigging training really said something about the quality of instructor. I believe in giving credit when it is due and we want you to know what an awesome job he did."
