Back to the Basics
A mobile crane is built around the design principals of balance and leverage, not to mention that little thing called gravity...

In short, a crane must be capable of lifting heavy loads, through the use of leverage, while remaining in balance. In this week's Hooked On Crane Tech blog post, we are taking it back to the basics, looking at how gravity, balance and leverage work together to keep a crane stable.

Crane Tech Tip
of the Week

When setting outrigger jacks, make certain that all personnel are in the clear.
If you cannot see all your outriggers from the control station, a spotter may be required.

If you are working around equipment during set up, make certain that you are clear of the outriggers.
