In the past two weeks, we've determined that working as a crane operator takes more than super powers to be safe. The crane/lifting team is also on the hook to help identify potential hazards and determine what to do about hazards in order to keep both the job and personnel safe.

of the Week

Alloy steel chain slings must be manufactured from a Grade 80, 100, or 120 chain.

Welded link chain grade is identified with marks stamped on some of the links (opposite the weld).

Any chain not marked to indicate one of these grades must NOT be used for lifting.
