Protecting Against Falls
Hands-on training just got safer! As a safety training company, Crane Tech wants to make sure our students not only learn safe practices, but apply safety as they work through learning the concepts. To that end, we installed a Personal Fall Arrest System (PFAS) for use by mobile crane inspector students. The PFAS allows students to move freely on the deck of our mobile cranes, knowing that should they slip (or even move too fast) the retractable lanyard will lock in place to help prevent injury.

What Our Students Say...

"I have learned much more in this short course and retained more information than in any previous training. The instructor took his time to explain the material thoroughly. Overall I feel as if I expanded my knowledge of cranes and safety ten fold!"

Crane Tech Tip of the Week

Always wear your seat belt when operating a forklift.

All forklifts provide protection for the operator should the equipment tip or turn over. Protection is either through a Roll Over Protection System (ROPS) or the mast on vertical mast forklifts. If your equipment starts to tip over, do not attempt to jump clear. Grasp the steering wheel with both hands, brace yourself, lean away from the direction of impact and hold on tight.

Of course, Crane Tech recommends proper operator training to ensure safe operation and reduce the risk of incidents.
