Mobile Crane Operator
"For Operators and Trainers"
Mobile Crane Operator Training is designed for operators, trainers, safety personnel and supervisors for all types of Mobile Cranes. Training thoroughly covers cranes regulated by OSHA, MSHA and ASME B30.5. You will learn critical elements that
include: operational characteristics, load charts, proper set-up, use of jibs and extensions, load indicating devices, crane stability, structural competence, pre-use inspections, hazard awareness, power line hazards, operator responsibilities, job planning and all with extensive workshop interaction.
This program is an excellent way to prepare operators before they attend the NCCCO Certified Mobile Crane Operator program. Take it one step further and attend the 15 day Mobile Crane Operator Professional Development program.

Overhead Crane Operator Train-the Trainer
This training includes detailed presentations on each of the subjects of safe operation, pre-use inspection, capacity interpretation, equipment characteristics, rigging loads, signaling, operating procedures and techniques and Federal compliance.
This training is accomplished in accordance with applicable regulations, standards, manufacturers requirements and recommendations, and accepted safe hoisting practices.
Students will be able to:
- Explain how overhead cranes operate
- Identify safety concerns associated with overhead cranes
- Demonstrate the designated hands signals for overhead crane operations
- Provide overhead crane operator training and testing.

This program provides training for persons who inspect or want to inspect overhead cranes and hoists. Training is compliance based addressing both Federal OSHA regulations and ASME B30 standards. The expectation of this training is to ensure each student is competent to perform periodic inspections of overhead cranes and hoists.
The objectives for this program are to ensure that all students fully understand crane components and their interaction. Crane inspectors will be able to:
- Perform overhead crane and hoist inspections
- Identify regulations pertaining to overhead cranes and hoists
- Identify crane deficiencies
- Evaluate components to regulatory and/or manufacturer's rejection criteria
- Determine root cause of deficiencies and failure analysis
- Perform load and deflection testing
- Properly document inspection findings
- Detect modifications and alterations
