Playing Monopoly and Jeopardy are usually thought of as games exclusively for entertainment, but the CBA Accounting Lab helps students become proficient in introductory level accounting techniques and develop critical thinking skills while having fun. Students appreciate the lab because it closely emulates real-life accounting situatioins. They also like the challenge of being able to work in teams to solve problems while playing the games.

We are excited to welcome Dr. Randy Colvin to the College of Business Administration as an Assistant Professor in Management Information Systems. For Randy, this is his end-of-career dream job. With a strong desire to teach and conduct research, he was introduced to high levels of research during summer studies at Carnegie Mellon University - Pittsburgh in 1981. In an interview with the Pittsburgh Press that year, he made a commitment to obtain a doctorate degree. Together with his wife, Marie, they have five children. As their children neared the end of their college education in digital media design, international affairs/social work, nursing, and emergency room medicine, they all supported his educational doctorate goals.
