Revamping of the MBA Program
Students can earn their degree in one year

A revamping of the MBA program completed earlier this year has been introduced this fall. The online program includes 21 hours of required courses and nine elective hours. No thesis is required in this program, but a capstone course is part of the curriculum. New this year there are seven electives: Human Resource Management, Negotiation Strategies and Critical Thinking Skills, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Energy Finance, U.S. Healthcare System and Policy, Health Service Management and Regulations, Health Service Economics and Finance and two new certificates, Energy Finance and Supply Chain Management and Health Service Administration. In addition, the seven core courses were significantly strengthened. Students can earn their MBA in one year.

New AACSB Mentor Visits Kingsville
Dr. Palan to guide us towards accreditation

The college hosted a visit for Dr. Kay Palan, our AACSB mentor, on September 28-30, 2015. The purpose of her first visit to our campus was to become better acquainted with the college and its progress toward obtaining accreditation and to provide input to various groups within the college working on accreditation issues. She met with college faculty, staff, career services, students and advisory board members. The specific issues discussed included mission and strategic planning, faculty development, and assurance of learning/curriculum. Overall, Dr. Palan's visit was very positive and the college continues to show good progress toward its accreditation efforts.


CBA Hosts Partners in Prosperity
A panel on Mexican Oil Reform

Partners in Prosperity, a panel of 12 experts in the oil business, was facilitated by Dr. Habib Chamoun-Nicolas on October 8th. The energy reform panel made the Kingsville Community aware of the business opportunities for the small and medium companies and gave an overview of business development activities for the near future.
