CBA Wall of Honor Inducted on April 25 with a Ribbon Cutting Honoring the Late Ralph C. Russell

The College of Business Administration at Texas A&M University-Kingsville formally dedicated their new Wall of Honor recently with the unveiling of the first plaque dedicated to Professor Emeritus Ralph C. Russell who taught in the college for 26 years. Shown from left, are family members Jeanne Russell, Tom Russell, Sam Russell, Margaret Russell, Dwight Russell, Jenny Lozano, Mary Lynch and Frank Lynch.

Several months ago, Thomas and Jeanne Russell made the lead gift of $150,000 toward the establishment of the Ralph C. Russell Distinguished Professorship. A named faculty position is the highest honor that can be bestowed on a faculty member. Gifts toward an endowed position are designed to measurably lift a program to a new standard of excellence and support the academic pursuits and endeavors of the holder. CBA Holds First Student Awards Ceremony and Dinner for Scholarship and Delta Mu Delta Students

Mr. Renato Ramirez was the keynote speaker at the Student Awards Ceremony on April 23 
This year the CBA celebrated Delta Mu Delta's annual ceremony along with all the other scholarship recipients for the college in a ceremony and dinner. Over $65,000 was awarded to 49 business students and 14 new members were inducted into the Delta Mu Delta Fraternity by President Quinten Womack.

Mr. Renato Ramirez, CEO and Chairman of the Board, International Bank of Commerce - Zapata, Texas, delivered an inspiring address to our best and brightest students gathered for the event.

The Distinguished Undergraduate Student Award, the Delta Sigma Pi Scholarship Key Award and the Texas Society of CPAs Scholarship Award were presented to Quinten Womack. Rene Ramirez also received a scholarship award from the Texas Society of CPAs. The Students' Choice Distinguished Teaching Award was presented to Dr. Barbara Oates

Texas A&M-Kingsville Holds Spring Commencement Ceremonies May 9

More than 900 prospective graduates crossed the stage to receive their degrees during four commencement ceremonies held at the Steinke Physical Education Center at Texas A&M University-Kingsville Friday, May 9.


Graduating at the 10 a.m. ceremony were all degree candidates from the Dick and Mary Lewis Kleberg College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Human Sciences and the College of Business Administration, as well as the master's degree candidates from the College of Arts and Sciences. Read more

CBA Faculty Accomplishments

  • Dr. John Cicala's paper titled "Formulating Undergraduate Student Expectations for Better Career Development in Sales: A Socialization Perspective" was accepted to be published in the Journal of Marketing Education.
  • Lecturer Adria Vasquez won the Corpus Christi Chapter of The Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants "Distinguished Public Service" award.
