Greetings!
I trust that this sweet summertime is holding you and your loved ones as you travel, vacation, garden, hike, swim, or simply bask in the long days.
In reference to the natural landscape in which he lives, somebody recently said, "I cherish this." My heart has been circling around this sentiment. I keep hearing, feeling, and living into these words with each task in my day. And I am especially attentive to what begins to fall away as unimportant when the quality of cherishing is not present.
Like a mantra-in-motion, I am deepening my relationship to things I cherish. As I do so, I am reminded of the responsibility that comes with the feeling of treasuring something: to care for and nurture it.
I invite you to consider what it is you hold dear and see how you can nurture it. Relationships, healing, writing, nature: our deepest stories arise out of these and call to us for loving attention.
New things are quickly unfolding at TEALarbor stories. In the boxes below, be sure to check out: workshops coming in autumn, a video of a professional recitation of my writing, the kindness blog and hospice interviews, course updates, and other new projects.
Blessings,
Jennifer Wilhoit, Writing Mentor, Guide, Mediator

Stories: Cherishing, Written & Lived
|
The offering to you this beautiful northern hemisphere summer month is this: make a simple plan to demonstrate your adoration for one thing in your life.
If you can't remember what you cherish (because sometimes life distracts us from the loves that sing to us as we dream), then sit silently under a tree until you can remember.
And then go out into the world of nature, or loved ones, or creative activities, or whatever it is that animates your feeling of pure aliveness and wellbeing - and embrace that which you cherish.
Offer something that will nourish it, or them. Smile or cry. Handwrite a love letter. Mend a broken relationship.
No matter what else, journey in gratitude alongside that which you cherish. For cherishing makes our own and others' stories richer by reminding us of that beautiful web that binds us together.
Please email to learn more about how TEALarbor stories can support you as you move forward with your writing projects, as you traverse a life transition, or as you face a difficult situation of conflict.
