In the Client's Words
"I have written over 200 pages of this story during the most stressful time in my life. And, I feel good about that!! Really, really good!

Gratitude & Compassion Practice
Who will you nourish out of your own abundance this month?
Serve a meal; give a handmade gift; offer help with a task; simply listen; offer a hug, ride, kind words, smile...

TEALarbor stories'
mission is to compassionately support people as they discover & convey through writing their deepest stories.

Greetings!

Giving thanks. Gratitude. Appreciation. Praise. Recognition. Acknowledgement. Gratefulness. Why not devote the newsletter each year in November to this topic? A daily practice of such can sustain each one of us, and thereby sustain the world.

I had the most incredible experience at the Parliament of the World's Religions in Utah last month. It is still working in me today, and I expect it will be for quite some time to come. While it will take a tome to capture the monumental and transformative power of the 9800-person-30-religions-548 subtraditions-73-countries-gathering, in this moment I can sum it up in three words.

Passion. Integrity. Commitment.

All three ignited and deepened, while simultaneously becoming broadened by such a heartfelt community of nonjudgmental, beautiful seekers of peace and the divine. The fruits of this experience are already at work in TEALarbor stories' upcoming projects, fueled by the faith of personal calling turned into professional service, and rooted in the nourished interconnection of all beings.

For these outcomes, I am indebted. Incredibly grateful. Swimming in the soothing womb of abundant gratitude.

May you and your loved ones find respite together during the beginning of these holy days.

Blessings,
Jennifer Wilhoit, Writing Mentor, Guide, Mediator

Spotlight:  Abundance & Gratitude in Writing & in Life
How can we acknowledge the abundance and feel the gratitude in our lives? Of course, I would emphasize the role of writing as a means for so doing.

Consider exploring on paper the following:

Passion - what is happening externally when your internal fires are aglow?

Integrity - what really matters when the barriers and fluff are dissolved in some moment of your life?

Commitment - what is of enduring value for the benefit of all beings that you must offer with unabashed engagement?

I encourage you to join me in sitting with these inquiries. While phrased as close-ended questions, these are very open-ended explorations. You and I may only receive a touch of insight into any one question in any given free-write session. But keeping our hearts open to that truth which abides in us all is the ripe and spacious landscape into which will walk all sizes and shapes of untameable passionate action steps.

We can use gratitude for that which is working in our lives to guide us through these meanderings. We can express gratitude for the slivers or chunks of insight we receive. And we can then offer the deepest and broadest parts of ourselves to our work in the world...which is the very point of practicing gratitude.

News & Updates
I'm delighted to announce that my course proposal that was accepted for the Charter for Compassion International's brand new Compassionate Education Institute is in the birthing stage. These offerings are accessible to a global audience and there is already vast international participation. I'm currently enjoying putting my curriculum up on the user-friendly online platform. Please stay tuned for start dates and registration details.

Last week I was privileged to be interviewed by the lovely founder of the Windows Within Project, Mary York. This national project seeks to highlight, disseminate information about, and offer insights into the work of hospice volunteers; it aspires to offer "gifts of grace and beauty, honoring what it means to be human." There is special emphasis on educating the public about death and dying through the volunteer's perspective as s/he sits by the bedsides listening to the life stories and sacred wisdom of people who are dying. I will publish the link here as soon as the interview becomes available.

Check out the social media links on the sidebar. Very shortly, "Testimonials Tuesday" will begin...featuring highlights about TEALarbor stories' work in the words of current and past clients.
