FROM FATHER RASK
Could spring finally be here? The trees and grass are green, a variety of flowers are in bloom, and the birds are singing. These signs of spring are a welcome sight of renewal and refreshment for our spirits.
In May we are pleased to host several baccalaureates and the St. Odilia School 8th grade graduation in our worship space. May God bless and watch over these 2015 graduates and their families.
By now, most of you are aware that Fr. James has accepted a new assignment in the Mission Parish in San Felix, Venezuela where he is needed to serve as the new Associate Pastor at the church of Jesucristo Resucitado. He will be concluding his time at St. Odilia at the end of June.
A new Parochial Vicar will be here by the middle of June. On the weekend of June 20/21, we will give him a warm, St. Odilia welcome after all of the Masses with a coffee and donuts reception.
Fr. James will preach at all of the Masses on June 27/28. There will be cake and coffee receptions for him after all of the Masses on that weekend. Our best wishes and prayers go with him in his new assignment.
Please mark your calendars for these important occasions in our parish and read on for more details.
You will be seeing some notices from the Archdiocese on bulletin boards, in the bulletin and on the parish website that pertain to the Chapter 11 Case. Every parish must post and distribute these notices informing people of the claim filing deadline on August 3, 2015. Click HERE for more information.

SAVE THE DATE!
Farewell Receptions for Fr. James
After Masses June 27/28
Fr. James has accepted a new assignment in the Mission Parish in San Felix, Venezuela where he is needed to serve as the new Associate Pastor at the church of Jesucristo Resucitado. "Though I am looking forward to the adventures and ministry of the future my heart will always carry the happy moments and memories of my time here in Shoreview. In so many ways this is not 'Goodbye' but more like 'Hasta pronto' or in English 'We'll see you soon'." Fr. James will be preaching at all of the Mass during that weekend. All are invited!

CATHOLIC SERVICES APPEAL FOUNDATION UPDATE
The Appeal funds services that no one parish or individual can do alone. One of the organizations funded by the CSAF is the Venezuelan Mission where Fr. James will be serving.
The CSAF is an independent nonprofit corporation and is not part of the bankruptcy filing made by the Archdiocese (see csafspm.org for more info). When contributions from our parish reach our goal of $109,599, 25% of all funds received from our parish will be returned for use to support our own ministries of worship, education and outreach.
To date, $97,189 has been pledged and/or received.
See the kiosk near the parish office for donation envelopes to place in the collection. To donate online through the CSAF website click HERE.

A MESSAGE FROM LOGAN CROTTY Jr. High Youth Ministry/Faith Formation Dear Members of the Catholic Community of St. Odilia, It is with joy and sadness that I share with you the news that I will be transitioning from St. Odilia at the end of this summer. I will be entering my vocation to married life and relocating to join my future husband in Southern Illinois. I am confident in the Lord's will and my desire to follow His plans. I will miss those of you I've come to know so greatly and am deeply grateful for your kindness, generosity and support these past two years. I know that the Lord has such tremendous plans in store for the youth and families of St. Odilia. ST. ODILIA CHARITABLE OUTREACH
"Among us, who is above must be in service of the others. This doesn't mean we have to wash each other's feet every day, but we must help one another."
- Pope Francis
April Green Envelopes:
The April Green Envelope collection is focused on Global Solidarity and the call to make God's love visible through our own acts of charity and solidarity with our neighbors around the world. This collection supported four initiatives selected by the U.S. Catholic Bishops to aid the Church in Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America, Africa, and humanitarian activities of Catholic Relief Services. Through your generosity, the Catholic Community of St. Odilia contributed a total of $3,525 to Global Solidarity.
May Green Envelopes:
During the month of May, we are asked to support "St. Odilia Outreach-Hunger." In addition to our dedicated support to the Sharing Korner Food Shelf, this offering supports our charities and includes those looking for assistance with basic needs such as food (e.g., Dorothy Day, Sharing and Caring Hands, Ralph Reeder Food Shelf, etc.). There are always needs in these community outreach organizations and the people of St. Odilia are always there for one another. Please be generous.
Did you misplace your green envelope?
You can still contribute to the St. Odilia Outreach-Hunger. Just make the check out to St. Odilia with "St. Odilia Outreach-Hunger" in the memo line.

THE PHOTO DIRECTORIES ARE HERE The new photo directories can be picked up in the parish office during office hours (8:30am-4:30pm, Mon-Fri).
