A1A in Action

"A1A In Action" is a project dedicated to enhancing a piece of Fort Lauderdale's future by transforming a portion of our iconic beachfront roadway into a vibrant, resilient, multimodal destination.  The City of Fort Lauderdale, in partnership with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT),  Broward County, and the Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) completed an emergency restoration of A1A following damage caused by Hurricane Sandy. Designs for the revitalization of a portion of State Road A1A along Fort Lauderdale Beach from E. Sunrise Boulevard to N.E. 18 Street are complete.  Click here to learn more and see a list of planned project amenities.

Climate Adaptation

The City of Fort Lauderdale held a public forum recently to discuss long-term sustainability in light of climate change.  The Open House was an opportunity to share current information with neighbors and initiate a conversation about working together to enhance Fort Lauderdale's resiliency in an effort to protect the City's future prosperity.  Click here to learn more about the Adaptation Action Area Open House Meeting.

If you were unable to attend the meeting, you can still provide input through February 21, 2014 by posting your comments on the City's interactive website.
