For the past four years, Rodriguez Elementary School Counselor Norlene Chamberlain and Thearpy Dog Ariel have helped the students on campus through reading, guidance and incentive activities. 

 

Now, to celebrate their work, the duo will get to share their story with school boards around the nation.

HHS cross country races past competition

 

The Harlingen High School Cross Country teams raced past the competition at the Los Fresnos Cross Country Meet on Aug. 31.

 

The HHS team was awarded first place overall with a score of 55. The team blazed past Sharyland, Los Fresnos, Brownsville Veterans and Brownsville porter to earn the spot of top competitor.

The Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District presents an evening of higher education on September 19.

Treasure Hills student joins HCISD through inter-district transfer

To honor those who help transform education, the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District and Teach for America joined forces to celebrate another school year.

HHS graduate receives TCTA scholarship
 

This fall, Micah Bennet, a recent graduate from HHS, begins his journey through college with a little help from the Texas Classroom Teachers Association.

 

Bennett was recently awarded a $1,000 scholarship from TCTA in recognition of his demonstration of traits of strong personal character and potential for success.

 On August 30th, the Harlingen High School South Varsity Football team defeated Nikki Rowe under those Friday Night Lights at Boggus Stadium with a score of 33-7.
