Just to catch you up on what happened last week, Mule was released from Napa County jail around 6:30 PM last Friday.  I filmed his release for the documentary.  An arraignment or court appearance never occurred even though he was originally schedule to appear before a judge at 1PM.  He said it was a well-run jail and the staff were nice.  He spent the night alone, sleeping in an empty lot near the CHP station that was holding everything the mules were carrying at the time of the arrest.

Last Saturday morning Mule picked up his mules at the Napa County Animal Shelter where they were well taken care of. The normal fees for the return of impounded animals was waived. Mule appreciated this kind gesture and thought some of you might want to make a donation to the shelter. http://www.countyofnapa.org/AnimalShelter

He then led them across the River Bridge (it has sidewalks, bike lanes & a 35mph speed limit) to the CHP office to pick up his gear. The Napa CHP office is closed to the public on weekends but made an exception for the Mules.

And here's the front page story (with 4 photos) that appeared today in the Napa Valley Register of which I was interviewed for.  http://napavalleyregister.com/news/local/chp-arrest-unlikely-to-deter-mule-walker/article_5767cf8c-e057-11e2-93ac-0019bb2963f4.html

The Mules are now headed for Santa Rosa.  That's all for now.  Thanks for following and supported the Mules on their journey.
