Participants of the pilot Master Pond Manager class, worked alongside Charleston County workers, to install a shorescape & vegetative buffer along this stormwater pond. The renovated pond is located at the Charleston County Public Services Building in North Charleston, and will serve as a demonstration site for those interested in learning about stormwater pond management & shoreline buffers.

Special Announcement:
Meet the new ACSEC Education Intern!
|
With summer closing, we said goodbye to our graduate student intern, Leslie Wooten. Leslie worked for Clemson Extension Service & the ACSEC assisting with all things education while she also completed her graduate research on water quality in harvested rainwater systems. This summer, Leslie graduated from College of Charleston's Masters of Environmental Studies program. We are so proud of what Leslie was able to accomplish and know that she is destined for great things! Congratulations Leslie and good luck! We appreciate all of your hard work these past two years.

However, a new school year means fresh faces and we want to give a warm welcome to our 2015-2016 ACSEC education intern, Stacey Weinstock! With a diverse background in marine science education and outreach, we are excited to have her with us. She'll be starting her Masters at the College of Charleston in Environmental Studies and will be working with youth outreach, community events and other educational programming with the ACSEC. We're happy you're here, Stacey!
