NWRL

Author Tracie Peterson will be visiting the area from October 5th to the 10th. She will discuss her latest book. There will be a book signing with books available for purchase.

Cassie is Coming!

NWRL

Northwest Regional Library System will be installing a new public computer software program called Cassie as each branch receives its new public computer lab in the coming months. Roseau Public Library received the first new computer lab and Cassie software on August 27.

Cassie is a computer and print management program for the public computers.
Cassie will maintain fairness and ensure everyone gets a chance to use a computer.
Cassie will maintain a waiting list to ensure that everyone receives their turn in order.
Cassie will calculate your print charges and show you how much your print job costs before you decide to print.
Cassie will maintain security and allow you to temporarily lock your computer and unlock it with your password.
Cassie will protect your privacy by closing all of your documents and clearing your private browser data at the end of your session.
Cassie does require you to use your library card and pin to access the computer.

Do you buy ebooks or audio books through iTunes?

When you go to iTunes through the Northwest Regional Library OverDrive website Apple is donating 7% of your purchase back to Northwest Regional Library to use in purchasing additional titles in OverDrive. On the NWRL OverDrive website look for the icon that says "Help your library WIN". This will bring you to the page with links to all the booksellers, including iTunes, that are participating in this program. You will also find a link next to books the says "Buy it now" which will show you the links to the various retailers.
