New Greenbush Librarian

Greenbush Library

There is a new Librarian at the Greenbush Library. Katie Edgar lives in Karlstad but is originally from Warren. She graduated from Bemidji State University. She loves reading, camping, rollerblading, ice fishing and spending times with her daughter, family and friends.

So if you stop in at the Greenbush Library be sure to say hi to Katie!

Moo! Trunk Shows

Godel Memorial and Thief River Falls

On May 8th, David LaRochelle and Mike Wohnoutka, the author and illustrator of the book Moo! came to visit our region. They did two trunk shows, one at the elementary school in Warren and another at the Thief River Falls Library. David and Mike read the story of Moo! then did a puppet show and ended with having the kids help them write and illustrate a short story. Everyone had a wonderful time.

There will be postcards at your local library that your children can fill out. If they print their address clearly and draw a picture, then give it to the librarian, Cow will write them back.

Do you buy ebooks or audio books through iTunes?

When you go to iTunes through the Northwest Regional Library OverDrive website Apple is donating 7% of your purchase back to Northwest Regional Library to use in purchasing additional titles in OverDrive. On the NWRL OverDrive website look for the icon that says "Help your library WIN". This will bring you to the page with links to all the booksellers, including iTunes, that are participating in this program. You will also find a link next to books the says "Buy it now" which will show you the links to the various retailers.
