Centralized Phone Notification System!

NWRL
Robot on the phone

One of the library services people appreciate the most in Northwest Regional Library system is being able to request an item and have it delivered to and held for pick-up at any NWRL branch library. When a patron has an e-mail address on file, NWRL sends an e-mail, notifying a patron that their requested items are ready for pick-up. If a person does not have an e-mail on file, NWRL staff call patrons to notify them that items are ready for pick-up.

For those who do not have e-mail, Northwest Regional Library system will soon be introducing a centralized phone notification system which will notify you when an item you requested is available for pick-up. A recorded message informs you that the requested item will be held for 7 days. To insure privacy, the phone notification does not identify specific titles. This same system will call to give notification when an item is overdue.

Please help us make this service work for you! If you have an e-mail address that you check regularly, please visit with a staff member at your library to ensure that e-mail address is listed in your library account. If you do not have an e-mail address, please make sure that the phone number listed in your library account is current and will accept calls from a centralized system.

Our Thief River Falls branch as already started to use this system. The other Northwest Regional Library Branches will be starting centralized phone notifications in December. If you have any questions or concerns please call or stop into your local branch library.
