New NOOK App Makes Downloading Library eBooks Even Faster!
NWRL

Borrowing eBooks and audiobooks from the library just got a whole lot easier for users of the NOOK HD, NOOK HD+, NOOK Tablet and NOOK Color. Recently, Barnes & Noble added the OverDrive Media Console app to the NOOK Apps, allowing users to wirelessly borrow eBooks and MP3 audiobooks from the library. OverDrive Media is the provider of eBooks and audiobooks for Northwest Regional Library (NWRL).

All NOOK users have always been able to download eBooks borrowed from NWRL's virtual library, but the process required downloading the files to a computer using Adobe Digital Editions, then transferring the file from the computer to the device using a USB cable. Now, users of NOOK HD, NOOK HD+, NOOK Tablet and NOOK Color can borrow eBooks and audiobooks wirelessly using the OverDrive app.

For more information to help users install this app, OverDrive has created a help page.  Additionally users can visit the NOOK Apps storefront to install the free OverDrive Media Console app.

The MN Crime Wave Is Coming!

Join us as we present the MN Crime Wave! Established in the fall of 2000, the Crime Wave consists of mystery writers
Ellen Hart, Carl Brookins, and William Kent Krueger. They will be talking about their craft and books! And, there's almost no truth to the rumor that the members of the Minnesota Crime Wave met because they have the same parole officer.
