Cincinnati's Emissary from Israel, Maia Morag, will discuss Israel's global accomplishments and global impact. She will also discuss the current divestment movement and the dishonesty - and impossibility of it. Most major pharma companies, a significant number of technology firms, and a growing number of international firms have a large presence in Israel.
Divesting from Israel would mean no cell phones, no internet search engines, no back-up cameras in autos, fewer generic drugs, fewer snack foods, fewer green energy options (pioneer in solar, wind, and biodiesel), less effective electric cars, flash memory (including usb). Medical findings for spine victims, SIDS/crib risks, and hands-free nursing would also be gone. Military achievements in helicopters and ballistic defense, used by the USA, would also be prohibited under this approach.
Israel's global impact is positive and constructive.
