Planting & Blessing of the Ross Farms Garden

Please join the Sunday school students directly after church at Ross Farms in Basking Ridge to help us plant the lettuce and beans that we have been growing for the Somerset Food Bank Network. Bring a small shovel. Cookies and lemonade will be served. Please RSVP to Lynn Mitchell so we can plan accordingly.
Father Rick Morley from St. Mark's in Basking Ridge and
Mother Susan Ironside will meet with the gardeners on Sunday at noon to bless the garden and give thanks for God's generosity in inviting us to share in this ministry!

God's Giving Garden

We have some planting and clean up dates scheduled to get our garden growing. Our goal this year is to grow "A TON OF FOOD", which means we need "A TON OF HELP". A sign-up sheet will be on the Notice Board or sign up online here .
Week of June 4: SJOTM is responsible for gardens the following:
If you are unable to garden, we also need TOMATO CAGES, preferably large, new or used.
Please come and help and have some fun in the fresh air! The garden is located at the Boudinot-Ross Estate, 30 North Maple Avenue, Basking Ridge.

Grace Soup Kitchen

Friday, May 27
Grace Soup Kitchen serves 1,000 hot nutritious meals the last five days of each month to the hungry of Plainfield. St. John on the Mountain parishioners help on the last Friday of each month. Join us one Friday as we prepare and serve lunch. The next day scheduled to serve is on Friday, May 27th from 10 am - 1 pm. To sign up, please email

Women's Bible Study

The women will continue to spend time together on Wednesday mornings. We are looking at Jesus' own life of prayer. No background needed! All are welcome!

Heifer International Farm Trip

July 15-17
Looking for a meaningful way to spend a summer weekend? Join us from Friday July 15th - Sunday, July 17th in Rutland, MA at the Heifer Farm for a two night Global Gateway experience that creates an existence in which nothing -- shelter, food, water or cooking fuel -- can be taken for granted. Participants prepare a meal with limited resources and spend a night in the Global Village. Approximate cost will be $100 per person, including transportation. Any questions? June 27- July 1
Children ages 3 through rising 4th graders are invited to join us June 27-July 1 for summer camp. Kids will learn, create, and have fun! Join us for sports, games, music, snacks, Bible stories, and cool crafts. The cost is $60 per child (with a $150 cap per family). Click here for registration forms.
