Christmas Lessons and Carols
Sunday, December 27th at 10 am
Join us on Sunday, December 27th at 10 am when we will continue to celebrate the Christmas season with the reading of the nine lessons. The Choir of St. John on the Mountain will lead us in the singing of our favorite Christmas Carols. It is truly a family service as we begin with the journey of Adam and Eve in the garden, hear the promise of the prophets and are once again inspired by the birth of Jesus as told to us in the Gospels. Many familiar carols, sung by all of us, and a few remarkable new ones, sung by The Choir, are interspersed with the readings.

IRA Rollover
The Senate has passed HR 5771 the Tax Increase Prevention Act of 2015. This will allow people 70.5 years and older to transfer up to $100,000 directly from an IRA to charity each year without having to recognize the transfer as income. The transfer does count for the donor as a minimum required distribution from an IRA account. If you have any questions, please contact Lisa Keenan.

Flower Dedication Chart
Donations of flowers are made as memorials or in thanksgiving for special occasions. A date can be shared by more than one donor. The 2016 flower sign-up charts are now posted on the bulletin board in the hallway of the church building, opposite the entrance to the Chapel sacristy. For dedications and specific floral requests contact Sue Kennedy or the office 908-766-2282office@sjotm.org . The cost is $100 for church altar flowers and $70 for chapel altar flowers.

Baptism
Sunday, January 10th
We baptize primarily on those dates set aside for baptism, as listed in the Book of Common Prayer. Since the presence of the community of faith is essential for welcoming the newly baptized into the church, baptisms take place in the principal service on the appointed Sunday. The next day for Baptism is Sunday, January 10th at 10:00 am. Questions about baptism? Please contact Mo. Susan.
